Media Assistant

Submissions Co-ordinator. 

You will gain experience in coordinating and establishing a small progressive film festival in its second year round. References guaranteed.

Media Assistant  (4 months)

Min. 5 hours a week (hours will increase in April 2013)

Description

Assisting Media Manager in the following areas:

Online and offline advertising (includes social media, outdoor promotions, press)

Contacting international and local film schools and organisations.

Assisting in the coordination of a Crowdfunding campaign. 

Coordinating volunteers during the festival month. 

Candidate requirements

Very good communication and writing skills.

Some previous experience in film/media or events management. Includes academic and/or work related experience. 

Very good understanding of Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels.

Good understanding of local media. 

Submissions Co-ordinator (4 months)

Min. 5 hours a week

Description

Working with Media team in attracting submissions nationally and internationally. 

Liaising with film schools and students.

Coordinating the assessment of submitted films.

Ensuring timely delivery of all submissions-related deliverables.

Coordinating the production of screening copies. 

Candidate requirements

Good working knowledge of MS Office & Google Drive.

Some previous experience in film/media or events management. Includes academic and/or work related experience.

Basic understanding of technical specifications of video.
